Monarch Crafts is a Jaipur-based Pietra Dura atelier creating handcrafted marble inlay and fine stonework for distinguished interiors and architectural projects worldwide.
Rooted in the centuries-old tradition of Indian stone inlay, we work with natural marble and carefully selected semi-precious stones to create Pietra Dura flooring, marble inlay table tops, wall panels, architectural features and bespoke stone compositions.

Pietra Dura is an intricate stone-inlay tradition in which carefully cut pieces of natural stone are fitted into a marble surface to create enduring patterns, imagery and architectural compositions.
At Monarch Crafts, this tradition remains fundamentally handcrafted.
Natural marble forms the foundation of our work, while semi-precious stones bring colour, depth and character to each composition. Individual elements are cut, shaped, fitted, inlaid and polished with close attention to proportion, alignment and finish.
The result is a surface in which the inlay becomes part of the stone itself — not a printed, painted or superficial decoration.

Our approach begins with the material.
We work with natural marble and genuine semi-precious stones selected according to the requirements of each project. Stone colour, veining, translucency, scale and character all influence the final composition.
Depending on the design, our work may incorporate materials such as lapis lazuli, malachite, mother of pearl and other natural decorative stones, alongside carefully selected marble.
The objective is not simply to add colour to marble. It is to create a balanced relationship between stone, pattern, scale, light and architecture.
